(deep breath)Chopins mother was polish and his father french but he was generally regarded as a polish composer he was born in the village of Zelazowa Wola (awesome name huh!)in the duchy of Warsaw and at the age of 20 he went abroad and eventually setttled in Paris where he reluctantly became a french citizen.(he was a strong Polish patriot)he died in 1849 at the age of 39 of chronic pulmonary tuberculosis,his pieces werewritten primarily for the piano as a solo instrument .(Rock on Wikipedia!!!!)
